Casting unknowns and young up-and-comers
Many of the names being bandied about for the different roles in this series are names most people are familiar with. I contend that if you have heard of an actor, the chance they are going to be in this series is slim. The cast is going to be mostly unknowns.
The Movie Fanatic has posted an interesting list of the Top 50 Hottest Young Actors. The names on this list are largely unfamiliar, although you may recognize some of the faces. These are the class of actors that are most likely being seriously considered for roles in Game of Thrones. It doesn’t hurt that a lot of the actors on the list are European-based.
A poster that goes by the username Fate’s Bitch over at the Westeros forums has pored over The Movie Fanatic’s list and has come up with some potential actors for quite a few characters. She has a lot of good suggestions and I wouldn’t be surprised if a few of those actors land roles in the series.
