TV critics jumping on the Thrones bandwagon

It seems that the support for Game of Thrones is starting to pick up amongst television critics. Here is a smattering of articles, tweets and blog post mentions of Thrones.

-Matt Roush of TV Guide Magazine was one of the first TV critics to hype up Thrones. He has mentioned the project quite a few times in his Ask Matt column, most recently when Dinklage was announced to be cast. He has also discussed ASOIAF and Thrones quite a bit on his Twitter.

-Maureen Ryan, television critic for the Chicago Tribune, has also just recently posted a tweet regarding the pilot.

-Time magazine TV critic, James Poniewozik, posted a very earnest blog entry in full support of the project. The blog post is a glowing report on Martin’s books and their potential as an HBO series.

Winter Is Coming: All of this support is great news. HBO will surely be taking notice of the amount of positive press this project is receiving, even now, months before the pilot is shot. The buzz should continue to build as the pilot nears filming. Hopefully Benioff, Weiss and HBO take advantage of the increased public awareness and release some more casting news soon, to help continue the forward momentum.
