This, that and the other
I was away this weekend so this post is a catch-up post on all the tidbits of news that came out over the last three days. It’s like a post with a bunch of mini-posts contained within.
-Tom Payne posted on his Twitter that he was out of the running for a role in Game of Thrones. WiC: Too bad, he seemed like a good fit. Wonder if that means whatever role he was auditioning for (likely Viserys) was cast?
-The BBC did a feature on the Paint Hall, mostly discussing its use for Your Highness, although they do mention it being used for a “large American TV production.” WiC: The current speculation is that the folks working on this production will slide right over to Thrones once it starts filming on Oct. 12. The possibility exists that they will be able to reuse sets, props, and costumes.
-James Ryan posted an updated audition video, this one containing the Jaime and Theon sides. WiC: Better than his first one. Not sure about the accent though.
-Commenter JC has a friend of a friend of a friend who states that Gillian Anderson has been cast as Catelyn and that it will be officially announced during the San Diego Comic Con. WiC: Color me skeptical. Not only because of the 3-times removed thing, but also because I don’t understand why they would be waiting until the Comic Con.
-Actor Anthony McKenna has apparently had multiple auditions for the role of Jon Snow. WiC: Looks-wise, I can see it. Hopefully he has the acting chops.
