Pilot set to begin production soon

In the absence of casting news, I have some other good news to share. It sounds like they are getting very close to beginning production on the pilot. I’ve received word that the production office has been established in Belfast and that the production is very close to being fully crewed at this point. For those who may be curious, here is the info for the production office as well as the Google street view of the building.

Winter Is Coming: Sounds like while David, Dan and Tom have been busy with casting, holding auditions across the globe; Gemma Jackson and the rest of the production team have been busy assembling their crew. In the original press release from the Northern Ireland government, it was mentioned that the production was expected to last 10 weeks. With almost 4 weeks of that being reserved for filming, one would assume that the production (set design, construction, etc.) would begin 6 weeks prior to filming. Six weeks prior to Oct. 12 is Aug. 31. So in less than two weeks time, the pilot for Game of Thrones will begin production in Belfast.
