Weekend round up
Here are some small updates from over the weekend.
-Another Harry Lloyd interview, this one at This is London. In it, Lloyd mentions that his role in Game of Thrones has raised his profile in Hollywood and he has begun fielding calls from American agents.
-The Stark kids have discovered social media. Sophie Turner (Sansa), Maisie Williams (Arya) and Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran) all have created Twitter accounts. Sophie’s got her own YouTube channel, as well. You can follow all the actors and crew of Game of Thrones from this Twitter list I created.
-Circle this date on your calendar: Jan 14th, the day of HBO’s winter Television Critic’s Association press event. Most of HBO’s execs will be there to talk about their upcoming programming. Maureen Ryan has already informed us there will be no early pick up announcement, but at the very least I hope to hear some word on Thrones.
-In somewhat related news, HBO has released the teaser trailers for Treme and Boardwalk Empire. I’m particularly surprised they’ve released one for Empire already, as they are still in the process of filming season one. They announced the pick up about 4 months ago, so assuming they follow the same timeline for Thrones, we may get our first teaser trailer by July!
