Another Tudors actress auditions for Dany

Winter Is Coming poster Abyss recently discovered a You Tube video in which English actress Charlotte Salt gives an audition (or at least provides footage of a practice run) for the role of Daenerys Targaryen. Salt is probably best known for her role as Ursula Misseldon, a lady-in-waiting for Queen Jane Seymore and lover of King Henry VIII in THE TUDORS.

The audition video encompasses two scenes. In the first, Daenerys speaks to Ser Jorah about Viserys; the second is the pivotal pyre scene that likely ends the first season.

Salt has acted professionally since 2001, and has also appeared in TV shows such as CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, ENTOURAGE, and WILDFIRE, as well as a small role in the film BEOWULF.

Fire And Blood: No idea if this is the actual audition footage that was sent in. Salt is 24 years old and clearly unafraid of taking on love scenes or of appearing nude. She seems to have a commanding way about her, though she also seems to at times lapse into a somewhat ironic (or even sarcastic) delivery of her lines. In certain ways she reminds me of a British Alyssa Milano (take that as you will). Only the powers-that-be can know whether or not Salt has caught their attention enough to consider her for the job.

We’ll assume if she somehow lands the role she will of course be coached with regard to correct GAME OF THRONES pronunciations.
