Clarke reacts to Dany casting
Emilia Clarke has responded to her being cast as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones. This comes to us from Cirdan of the German Lord of the Rings fansite, Der Herr der Ringe. Via a Facebook message, this is what Clarke had to say:
I am so excited to have been chosen to play such an awesome role! I am a big fan of the books and Dany is also my favorite character! I will do my very best not to let the fans down!

Winter Is Coming: So she is a fan of the books? That is certainly good to hear. I wonder if she knew of the books prior to auditioning. Or if she decided to read the books after auditioning and became a fan then, like Ron Donachie. Either way, she has to be thrilled to have landed such a major part. Judging solely on the amount of videos and tweets, it seems the role was highly sought after. Congrats again to Emilia!
