Quick hits: Fans score, audition, and wiki
A few noteworthy items with a Game of Thrones bent that have popped up over the past week or so:
- First is this A Game of Thrones inspired orchestral score by aspiring composer Hilario Abad. Abad provided musical backing to many of the key scenes from the first book. And I have to say, he did an impressive job. His work gives us a pretty good idea of the style HBO will probably go with for the show.
- Second item of note is this highly unconventional, but highly entertaining, fan audition video from Joseph Campo. Campo is an American living in Belfast who dreams of getting on Game of Thrones and plans to “make an audition tape the likes of which you have never seen.” Judging by this preview, I’d say he’s probably right about that.
- Speaking of Youtube videos, if you haven’t been following Learn Dothraki’s Youtube channel, you’ve missed out on a couple entertaining and informative videos. In the most recent one, Lajaki gives a lesson on how to pronounce the Dothraki consonants. In addition, they’ve started a wiki in an attempt to document everything about the conlang. If you are interested in learning more about Dothraki, be sure to subscribe to the Youtube channel and sign up to help the wiki efforts.
- One additional item of note, Lena Headey now has an official Facebook page. This is Lena’s only official web presence, so it might be worth following for Game of Thrones fans.
