Quick hits: Fan projects and the Wall

It’s Sunday, time to wrap up some loose ends and touch on a few random items from this past week.

Joe Campo continues his Youtube campaign to get cast in Game of Thrones. This time he asks fans to vote for one character he should focus his audition efforts on. Be sure to watch and then cast your vote in the video’s comments!

Hilario Abad has a few more tracks created as he continues his project of composing an original fan score inspired by A Game of Thrones. Among the new tracks is one for the Hand’s tournament, which is timely since they will be filming that this week. Head on over to his blog for more.

One more fan project in the works, this one comes from concept artist Xavier Garcia. Garcia is in the process of sketching out many of the people, places and events of the A Song of Ice and Fire series. While he’s doing his art independently of the HBO series, it is still cool to see some concept art on our favorite characters. Plus the artwork is awesome. Follow his blog as he updates on his progress.

Last, but certainly not least, we have another set photo of the Castle Black set in Magheramorne quarry. This one comes courtesy of Zanthia2 on Twitter.

You can clearly see the part of the quarry wall that they have whitewashed to represent the icy Wall. I suspect this will be enhanced in post-production to make the Wall really impressive-looking. Click the cropped pic above for the full version.
