Acharia in Norwegian papers again

Another day, another interview. This time it’s Amrita Acharia who has been featured in the Norweigan paper Dagbladet where she talks about Game of Thrones. Below is an excerpt, thanks to The Dude for the translation.

The Norwegian girl has been cast in a smoking new fantasy series for HBO, that is to film in Ireland and Malta. The series is based on the book series Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. Among the cast is several well known actors like Sean Bean, known from Lord of the Rings.

“This is, of course, huge. I’m not one of the main characters, but I appear in eight of the first ten episodes in the first season. I play Irri, a maid for one of the main characters” says Acharia to Dagbladet.

“There’s a huge machine behind it all. They’ve invested a lot of money into it, and the sets are enormous. Even though I’m not of the key cast it’s very educational for me to be in on this.”

The article also mentions that the series will air on Canal+ in Norway next fall/winter.

Winter Is Coming: This interview is noteworthy, not because of what Amrita says about the budget and the sets (something we heard her talk about in her last interview), but because she states she will appear in eight episodes. Does that mean that there might be two Dany-less episodes in this first season? Fire and Blood has broken down the first book and came to the conclusion that, unless David & Dan add a bunch of new Dany scenes, there isn’t enough material there for her to appear in every episode. Supposing there will be two Dany-less episodes, which two do you think they might be?
