Day 90: Filming at Winterfell and the Eyrie
Filming continues for the first season of Game Of Thrones in Northern Ireland. Recent reports indicate that they’ve been filming scenes involving Osha, Hodor and Bran at Winterfell. They have been filming in and around Saintfield the past week or so, where there is this interesting looking tower. It is unknown if they have been using this for filming, but it could make a good Tower of Joy…
Also, it sounds like filming in Tollymore may be winding down. These photos from WiC reader Martin show more of the snowy set and the old bridge. However, based on his report and others on Twitter it sounds like the set is no longer cordoned off and most of the equipment is now gone.
Lastly, on the upcoming schedule are more Castle Black scenes, starting next week and continuing into early November. In addition, we’re now hearing from multiple sources that the Eyrie scenes will begin filming later this week and continue on into next week. It sounds like most, if not all, the Eyrie scenes will be shot at the Paint Hall.
