Amanda Peet talks Thrones on Late Night
And the main stream media blitz continues… sort of. Literally minutes before EW posted the latest photos, Amanda Peet, wife of Game of Thrones executive producer David Benioff, appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote her new role in the off-Broadway production The Break of Noon. During the interview, Thrones came up and Peet did her best trying to describe the series to Fallon and the audience. And failing, miserably. Check it out, it starts at around the 25 minute mark of this video. (NOTE: The video is US-only unfortunately.)
Winter Is Coming: Peet is adorable in this clip. She tries her best to sell the series, you gotta give her that. She hits on all the selling points. Sex, violence, warring families, medieval. Just not in a very cohesive way. But it makes for funny television. And it marks what, I believe, is Game of Thrones‘ first mention on a talk show. First of many, we hope!
