Season two open casting thread

You read that right. We are going to talk season two. “But Winter,” I hear you asking, “don’t you think it is too early for that? Season one hasn’t started airing yet and we don’t even know if we will get a season two!” Very true. However, all signs are pointing to a green light. Also HBO’s recent trend of green lighting the season right after the first episode airs means casting would be going on at the same time as the first season is airing, not leaving us much time to discuss potential candidates. I figure with some time to kill over the next few months, we can talk season two casting now and maybe Benioff and Weiss will get a chance to check out our wish lists and maybe nab a few fan favorites once it comes time to officially begin casting.

So let’s hear it folks. Who are your top picks for some of the prominent season two roles? Any and all names are welcome, but remember, realistically almost all of those cast will be from the UK. We will take some of the most popular names for each role and do individual posts for each character during the new year, just like we did for the pilot and season one.
