The Maester’s Path: New challenge

The next challenge of The Maester’s Path campaign has just unlocked. This week, the theme appears to be … sounds! Specifically, eavesdropping on some conversations in the Inn of the Crossroads to assist you in a puzzle that involves assembling the sigils of the bannermen to the great Houses in a certain way. Take another step and forge the second link in your chain. I cannot wait to see the reward.

Hear Me Roar: Okay, that was a tough nut to crack. I am not even sure how I did it, apart from knowing the heraldry a bit and proceeding by trial and error. We will let you know if we learn how the hints connect (and what the hints are, in the first place). The reward is … well, rewarding! On a par with last week’s one, that’s all I am going to say.

UPDATE: For hints, if you still need them, combine the knowledge and wisdom of Elio and Kristen Nedopak. This puzzle requires exploring the heraldry of minor houses of Westeros on your own with the help of external resources you find online. Hints as to the specific arrangements on the tree when there are several logical options available are given in the six inn conversation you have listened to several times over by now, I assume. Those are great little vignettes from Westeros which give you the aural feel, a impressionistic audio experience if you wish, of the land HBO is going to bring to our screens come April.
