HBO GO provides “interactive viewing experience” of Game of Thrones
For those lucky enough to have HBO GO, HBO has provided what they call an “interactive viewing experience” for Game of Thrones. Basically you can watch episodes of Thrones alongside an “alert feed” that provides access to all sorts of special features. Watch the demonstration video. The easiest thing to compare it to is VH1’s old Pop Up Video. Here is HBO’s list of special features available:
- Behind-the-scenes video
- Commentary from creators David Benioff & D.B. Weiss and episode directors
- Author’s notes from George R.R. Martin
- Detailed maps of the Seven Kingdoms
- Family Trees for the major Houses and Characters
- 360-degree, interactive digital renderings and high-resolution photography of the show’s most iconic objects (such as weapons, armor and artifacts) and costumes from “The Reliquary”
More screen caps of the service after the break.
