We Do Not Sow: Is anyone else a little nervous about winter coming? This was a very solid episode tonight, possibly the best so far, my emotions were all over the place. Before we dive right in, I really felt comfortable watching tonight, not only because of my Ben and Jerry’s but I am familiar now with the characters, I have the basic knowledge of the past and instead of trying discover who everyone is and where they are, I can sit back and let the story unfold.

So to start off, I was bummed out when I found out about Bran. I was so excited he woke up at the end of the episode last week, but to find out he won’t walk again, he won’t climb again or do the everyday things a young boy does. On top of all that he didn’t remember anything from the fall, darn those Lannisters. I will throw it out there that I did think that maybe he is just saying he didn’t remember anything but at his age I’m not sure if he would actually think that far ahead.

With that feeling of pity in my stomach we leave Winterfell and see Jon Snow at the wall practicing with some other new recruits. Jon has given up so much to join the brotherhood, he went there to find glory, to keep everyone safe and to give a deep purpose to his life. When he gets there he realizes everyone around him are rapists, thieves and other scum, and all of them came because it was better than the other punishment or not to go hungry. Well I can image how Jon feels, I was so dishearten by this, I wanted to see Jon move up the rankings, out in the forest kicking some supernatural white walker ass. I’m sure he will make the most of this situation, he doesn’t seem to give up easily to me. Also, does he have the dire wolf with him up there?

But, I’m a glass half full kinda guy, so lets move on to Arya. Arya really does bring every scene she is in to life, she’s fun, energetic and at this point too young to shake up too much in the series but I gotta good feeling about her. The scene with her and Ned talking in her room was good, you got to see a little more of Ned and that he has a big soft spot for his girls but secretly you know he loves seeing Arya with her “needle”.

I was shocked when Littlefinger knew that Cat was coming to King’s Landing. At this point it was said that one of the King’s men had ears everywhere across the land. I think this is something we need to store away. Even with the distance between the cities I think those at Kings Landing have the ability to know much more than we think they can.

My laugh out loud moment tonight was when Viserys tried to scold Daenerys. At this point Viserys just seems so whinny about his throne so I did get a good chuckle from him getting put in his place for the time being. As I mentioned last week I can really see Daenerys’ power going right to her head and right now I find it amusing but I guess we will see how far it goes. It’s tough for me to envision Drogo and Daenerys on the throne. But I can see Viserys getting there. To me he seems like he would do anything to get back home and on the throne.

Like I said earlier I was starting to feel comfortable in this world, but the last two weeks when someone had said “Winter is Coming” it never really struck me that hard. This week with a little more history on their winters, not only is it coming but sounds tough. To be honest I can’t wait for the winter, mainly because the images from the wall were amazing and the CGI really is amazing for a television show. If it’s hard now for the Starks, I can’t imagine what else could happen in the midst of winter.

So it wouldn’t be a good episode if it didn’t add to my growing list of questions. The scene between Ned and Jamie discussing the last time Ned was in the throne room, WOW, what was that all about? I need to know more. What about Jorah? So far I know he served Targaryen’s but betraying his father and leaving at once after hearing that Daenery is prego. He seems pretty shady, I can’t wait to find out more about him and who else he’s affiliated with. Sunday seems so far away again. Until next week….
