We Do Not Sow: Well, as I stated last week, it wasn’t until the episode was over when I realized we didn’t see any progression in the Targaryen or Jon Snow storyline.

Holy heart failure Batman! The last five minutes of this episode were insane. Viserys charges in and begins to make a drunken spectacle of himself, and all I can think is this is where Drogo is gonna kick this brat’s ass. You can see in Drogo’s eyes that he is completely fed up with Viserys, and probably has been since day one. Viserys wanted the crown so bad, well he got one. That was absolutely one of the best death scenes I have seen in a long time. Right up there with, the double car smash from Meet Joe Black, William Wallace from Braveheart, and of course Bambi’s mother. Wow, I never would have guessed Viserys character would leave us so soon. I mean he only had a one track mind through the first 6 episodes and only ever seemed to think about himself. But without him, we wouldn’t have the power couple “Khalerys”. Speaking of Khal Drogo and Daenerys, you know you’re part of savage warrior tribe, when your newly pregnant wife is eating a raw horse heart the size of her head, so that way the child will be born strong and a great Dothraki warrior. Viserys Targaryen your time with us was short and ended very abruptly, but I think we will get enough whining from Sansa in the upcoming episodes to fill our void of “I should be King” and “I am the Dragon” cry’s.

So lets talk about Bran’s new saddle and Robb and Theon kicking some wildling’s butt. Once I saw the silhouette of the first one following Bran, I immediately thought Theon was going to start piercing hearts with some archery skills. I liked it when Robb stepped up and drew his sword, Robb has been a little tentative to act so far while he is in charge. Theon is chirping in Robb’s ear about retaliating after Ned was injured by Jaime. So will Theon’s advice spark Robb into action, or is Winterfell content to hold their own for now?

Thank God for Peter Dinklage, first off I cannot image another actor portraying Tyrion so well, the man steals every scene he is in. It’s amazing! Again, he’s in a situation and outsmarts his way to safety. We all saw the trial by combat, so I will just elaborate in two areas, first turtle soup….ewwww. Second, I’m pretty sure the man who fought for Tyrion was the same guy who helped Tyrion and Cat after being ambushed on the mountain pass. So far I love this guy, he fills the small hole that Jory had in my heart and I think he’s the one who said ” Give me ten good men and some climbing spikes. I’ll impregnate the bitch”. The guy is classic so far and I can’t wait to find out more about him.

Last but not least, we have to talk about Ned, last week they left us with Jamie riding off after he stabbed Ned in the back of the knee. Now it seems Jamie has run off back to Casterly Rock where he can be safe and hidden for now. Ned tells Sansa and Arya to pack up their things and they are headed back to Winterfell. Ned knows that the bad blood between the Lannisters and Starks has hit the boiling point and it isn’t safe for his children in King’s Landing. After sitting in for King Robert, he hears that the Mountain has pillaged a small village in the Riverlands. The Tullys are the principle house of the Riverlands, Catelyn, Ned’s wife, was a Tully and it looks like Jamie, is taking the family feud even further by these actions.

So fellow newbs… What did you think of “A Golden Crown” I want to hear your thoughts! We only have 4 episodes left, I would love to hear some of your theories and your hopes for the last four episodes.

(I know a bunch of you just finished the early premier of episode 7, but please, for everyone who doesn’t have HBO GO just give us your feedback on episodes 1-6 for now and we cant wait for your thoughts on episode 7 next Sunday night.)

Thanks friends and when times get tough, just think mono e mono!
