More Game of Thrones Season One DVD/Blu-Ray details emerge

More details about the Game of Thrones season one DVD/Blu-Ray continue to emerge. Yesterday, @GameOfThrones tweeted the above image of the artwork of the full set. Also from yesterday, IGN posted a preview clip of the Blu-Ray’s In-Episode Guide.

Then today, discovered by our own Hear Me Roar, Amazon UK gives a detailed list of the Blu-Ray’s special features and their approx. run times. Most importantly, it includes listings for the previously-rumored-and-now-confirmed cast auditions plus a rundown of the episode commentaries!

Also, it appears that Amazon UK is offering their own exclusive pre-order bonus video, “Creating the Visuals”, which is an 18 minute feature that promises to give viewers “a firsthand look at the visual effects used to bring Game of Thrones to HBO, from towering castles and sweeping landscapes, to complex stunts and fight sequences.” This appears to come with the Blu-Ray only. As previously reported, the HBO Shop is also offering an exclusive bonus video, “Creating the World of Westeros”, if you pre-order either the DVD or Blu-Ray with them.

Not to be outdone, Barnes and Noble is offering the DVD and Blu-Ray for pre-order, at not only the cheapest price currently available, but also with a chance to win a signed copy of George R. R. Martin’s episode eight script!

Winter Is Coming: So many pre-order bonuses to choose from… we need a super deluxe edition that combines them all into one package. And I don’t know about you, but I’m looking forward to that episode three commentary with Sophie, Maisie and Isaac the most!
