- The role of Dany was being recast, GRRM confirmed that in an interview with Maureen Ryan.
- Maisie Williams was practicing hard with a sword for her role as Arya. I still love these photos!
- HBO hired a linguist to create the Dothraki language. Of course, that was the by-now-famous David J. Peterson, here interviewed. A terrific move.
