The popular series Game of Thrones or Igra prijestolja, will be, after Dubrovnik, also filmed on the locations on Makarska Riviera, more precisely in Baška Voda.

As Tonći Topić, the head of the Area Managment Office confirmed for The Makarska Chronicle, the sites on the Riviera were visited and an interest was expressed for a few locations, namely the Ridge above Baška Voda, Kačić Manor and a Turkish tower above Promajna.

“Negotiations are ongoing, although it is likely that that the filming will take place in our municipality. We are expecting around 300 extras, which is a very important thing not only for its promotional value but also because of the side benefit of an extend tourist season”, Topić said.

Hear Me Roar: These seem part of production plans concerning the Split area, seeing as Baška Voda is within some 20 miles of the city, to the south. What could they be used for? Looking forward to learning about more new locations in and around Split! (Hint hint, nudge nudge, locals.)
