Game of Thrones picks up another award

Chalk up another accolade for Game of Thrones‘s incredible production team, this one courtesy of the Art Directors Guild Awards. Last night, the show won in the category of Best Production Design in a One-Hour Single-Camera Television Series, with the award going to former production designer Gemma Jackson and her team. The nominated episode was the third season premiere, “Valar Dohaeris.”

This is the second year in a row that Game of Thrones has won in this category. Previously, Jackson and her team picked up a win for the second season episode, “The Ghost of Harrenhal.” GoT was also nominated for its first season for “A Golden Crown,” but lost to Boardwalk Empire.

Ours is the Fury: Congratulations to the fantastic production design and art direction team! Gemma Jackson has done great work on the show and will be missed.
