Game of Thrones wins another award

The stunning locations across several countries are often regarded as a highlight of Game of Thrones, and so it’s no surprise the series made a strong showing last night at the 1st Annual Location Managers Guild of America Awards.

Thrones picked up two awards at the ceremony, including:

  • Outstanding Location Television Program
  • Outstanding Achievement by a Location Professional – TV Program,  Robert Boake

Boake has been with Game of Thrones since the premiere of the show in 2011. The Artisans: Shooting in Belfast featurette released two weeks ago features him discussing the challenges this season’s locations presented, working in Northern Ireland.

Ours is the Fury: Congrats to GoT and Robert Boake! Always happy to see the behind-the-scenes talent rewarded for their incredible work on the show.
