George R.R. Martin talks killing characters and writing on DOS with Conan O’Brien
George R.R. Martin was a guest on last night’s Conan. In a very funny interview, the “A Song of Ice and Fire” author talks about the bold move of killing King Joffrey, and how the show-runners David and Dan are actually more bloodthirsty than he is. He also comments on President Obama referencing the Iron Throne, and jokes about giving those things away for free.
Martin also admits that unlike other authors who worry about their work falling prey to computer viruses, he doesn’t have to- he uses a DOS computer, not connected to the internet. Spell check isn’t welcome in Westeros!
