Game of Thrones picks up 2014 TCA Nominations
The 2014 nominations for the Television Critics Association Awards have been announced, and Game of Thrones is once again on the ballot.
This year, Game of Thrones is nominated in two categories: Outstanding Achievement in Drama, which the show won last year, and Program of the Year.
In the category of Outstanding Drama, GoT will be competing against “The Americans,” “Breaking Bad,” “House of Cards,” and “The Good Wife.”
For Program of the Year, GoT will have to take on the 2013 winner, “Breaking Bad,” along with “The Good Wife,” “Orange Is the New Black,” and “True Detective.”
In addition to last year’s win for Drama, Game of Thrones picked up Outstanding New Program in 2011, and Program of the Year in 2012.
Ours is the Fury: GoT has a nice track record with the TCAs, so hopefully that will continue. The last year has been a big one for Breaking Bad, but then it was a big one for GoT as well, so we’ll see.
