Preview the Game of Thrones Season 4 Soundtrack
The soundtrack from Game of Thrones, written by Ramin Djawadi, is a highlight every season, with new music provided each year to go along with the instant-classic main theme. The season 4 soundtrack won’t be out on CD until July 1st, and available via digital download until June 10th, but luckily the preview has been released, with all twenty-two tracks loaded up on one video for easy listening.
The latest soundtrack includes the Sigur Rós rendition of “The Rains of Castamere,” featured at the Purple Wedding and previously available only as a single. Of course we’ve already encountered several of the tracks previewed, such as the threatening attack theme of the Thenns (Track #6), “I’m Sorry for Today,” the yearning music that scored Missandei and Grey Worm’s conversation in the throne room in the most recent episode (Track #5), and others.
We’re also getting an intriguing sneak peek at themes from future episodes, like “The Children,” a piece of music that shares the title of the season finale. (Track #22)

Ours is the Fury: Any personal favorites on the soundtrack, or thoughts on the pieces we haven’t seen yet on the show? It’s always interesting to predict the significance of the unidentified ones. Last year, none of us here at WiC in our discussion guessed that “Heir to Winterfell” would refer to Rickon.
