Charles Dance to voice character in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Game of Thrones has been a launching pad for actors on the show when it comes to increasing their popularity. A character doesn’t have to be killed off for the actor who plays him or her to become a hot name in other projects, but it helps if you have some free time on your hands.

One actor who was already popular but is continuing to see his stock rise is Charles Dance, who played Tywin Lannister on the series. He  is now taking his talents to the world of video games for the first time in his long and successful career.

Dance will be voicing the character of Emperor Emhyr var Emreis in the highly anticipated upcoming video game The Witcher 3.

Charles Dance is the perfect candidate to play the mighty Nilfgaardian emperor in our upcoming title. It’s a dream come true for the team here at RED to be able to work with such an accomplished actor and magnetic personality, said Marcin Blacha, Lead Writer for the title.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the more anticipated games of the upcoming video game year. It’s only going to get more credibility and popularity thanks to Dance being involved with the game. He knows how to play a villainous character, and even if his character isn’t sinister as Tywin, there’s a safe bet that Dance is going to be great.
