Game of Thrones Filming Continues In Belfast

Man Bun Alert!

Yes, that’s your future husband Kit Harington, in his street clothes wandering around Belfast. Thanks to Brigit for tweeting us that picture! Remember, if you have a tip, send us a tweet or a raven on our contact page.

But it’s not all good news and celebrities with questionable hairstyles at the Ireland filming location.

According to the Greenock Telegraph, one of the local actors cast is now literally in one after smashing his wrist on set.

Derek Lord, who starred as the infamous Davie Sneddon in Scottish soap Take the High Road for 18 years, landed a role in the hotly anticipated new series of hit fantasy show Game of Thrones.

But the Skelmorlie man’s big moment nearly ended in disaster when he tripped over and snapped his wrist on the first day of filming in Belfast.

Speaking exclusively to the Tele, Derek, 67, said: “During my first day on set I tripped over a track in the floor which is used to move the cameras and hurt my wrist, but I didn’t tell anyone as I didn’t want to disrupt the filming.

Well I can’t exactly blame him–I mean, who wants to ruin their big break? Er–big moment? Unfortunately, after a few hours, Lord’s wrist got so bad, he ended up at first aide anyway, where he discovered he’d fractured both wrist bones and broken a finger. But, like a pro, it was after he’d filmed all his dialogue. Good job!

Lord does not say who he’s playing, and none of the cast lists I’ve seen have him listed yet. So we’ll just have to wait to see who it is, and when we do, keep an eye to see if we can tell his wrist is broken.
