But first, today’s deals….
If you’re shopping for Thrones DVDs or Blu-rays, it depends on which season you’re looking for. Season 1 is available at both Best Buy and Amazon for $26.99 DVDs, $29.99 Blu-rays. For Season 2, whether Walmart, Best Buy, or Amazon, you’ll be paying around $34.96 for the DVDs, $44.99 for the Blu-rays, with about two bucks of savings at Best Buy. Season 3, same deal with the DVDs; Walmart, Best Buy, or Amazon, it’s a straight $34.96 for that set. For Blu-rays, you’ll again be paying around $39.96 on Amazon, but if you’re interested, Best Buy is still selling their special Lannister-themed box set of Season 3 Blu-rays for $42.99. This is currently the same price they’re offering the regular Season 3 Blu-ray set for. (They’ll also be having more House-specific boxes for the Season 4 Blu-rays.)
How about Ramin Djawadi’s amazing soundtracks? They’re all available in a variety of places for about $10.00, though Amazon will give you the best deals if you choose digital downloads (the iTunes prices are $1.99 more than the audio CDs at retailers, though Season 3 is currently available for $9.99). Amazon is also offering Season 4 soundtrack on vinyl for around $35.
Going book shopping? The mass market paperbacks of A Song of Ice and Fire are available in one giant set for around $30 at both Amazon and Walmart. The hardcover version of The World of Ice and Fire is available for $25 from Barnes & Noble as well as from Amazon (and there’s also a code for 30% off any single book–“HOLIDAY30”) .
