Telltale releases Game of Thrones trailer today, game tomorrow
Depending on what game system you’re using, Telltale Games’ Game of Thrones adventure game is releasing over the next few days–see the precise schedule here. The game will focus on the Northern House Forrester and take place from the end of Season 3 to the start of Season 5. Telltale has already released one trailer narrated by Lena Headey which focuses on setting the stage for the game’s story. This trailer shows more characters and more action. Check it out after the jump….
This trailer very prominently displays the four cast members from the show providing voice acting: Natalie Dormer, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, and Iwan Rheon, giving it an instantly authentic feel. The faces and animations for some of those characters, particularly the two queens, is a little less inspiring. This isn’t an issue with the new characters, who look good, not having to match real people. But overall, it definitely grants the feel of being part of the Game of Thrones world in both story and theme.
The review embargo for “Iron from Ice”–the first episode–lifts at midnight Pacific tonight, and we’ll have a full review then.
