Warning: Some spoilers for the books and show after the jump

Game of Thrones Season 5 casting Nell Williams as young Cersei who is played by Lena Heady

After a quick look at the young actress’ IMDb page, it is revealed that she will be in 3 episodes, episodes 1 through 3. That’s interesting news in it’s own right, as it would mean that those Game of Thrones flashbacks that were so hotly discussed back in October of 2014, might carry through for 3 episodes.

What does that mean? Will we get to see Cersei relieving the Prophecy of the Valonqar from Maggy the Frog? If so, that is going to be very exciting, as the prophecy has been the subject of many a theory thread, throughout the internet.

For now, we don’t know what it is exactly that Nell Williams will be doing in her role as young Cersei, and it could have absolutely nothing to do with Maggy the Frog and the prophecy. We may see her being cruel to her brother, Tyrion.

We may see Cersei recalling her childhood, where she treated Tyrion, a baby at the time, so cruelly. It would make sense, since he has escaped King’s Landing and her wrath. If you remember in Season 4, Prince Oberyn recalled the time he was introduced to Tyrion, the infant, whom he had been told was a monster. He tells Tyrion that Cersei had twisted his little penis until he screamed.

So, whether we will see flashbacks of Cersei and Maggy the Frog, or Cersei’s memories of her childhood at Casterly Rock, one thing we do know, is that Nell Williams will be playing that role.

Do you think Nell Williams fits your idea of a young Cersei Lannister? I think she does! Let’s talk about it, in the comments below.
