Fans of Rose Leslie’s Ygritte will be able to see her once again when IMAX shows the final two episodes of Game of Thrones Season 4, starting January 23rd. Rose beautifully portrayed the Wildling who stole Jon Snow’s heart, but was ultimately killed in the battle for Castle Black in Watchers on the Wall, the penultimate episode of Season 4.

Leslie has been rather busy, since her turn on Game of Thrones. She recently finished filming The Last Witch Hunter, starring Vin Diesel, which hits theaters in October of this year. Before that, she starred in a little known indie film called Honeymoon.

In Honeymoon, Rose plays a newlywed whose actual honeymoon is ruined thanks to some mysterious and horrific events. The movie was well received, ultimately receiving a wide release in September of 2014….

The Guardian recently sat down with the actress, where she expounded on what she’s been doing since that sad goodbye on Game of Thrones.

“It felt like theatre in its intimacy and intensity,” says Leslie, whose stage work includes Bedlam at the Globe, “because you had to believe this couple had a relationship outside the confines of the film.” Both graduates of Lamda – “He was a couple of years above me, and I was the gimpy first-year in complete awe” – Leslie and Treadaway drew on their drama-school experience with exhaustive rehearsals prior to shooting. “Leigh was very open to us playing with things, especially by the point in the script where you don’t quite know who’s losing their marbles.”

On her Game of Thrones days, she had this to say, and one can tell she misses her former role:

“I enjoyed revisiting Ygritte every year, as opposed to being one character for four months and never seeing them again. It was as hard to say goodbye to her as it was to the show itself.”

Rose Leslie isn’t the only Game of Thrones actress busy outside the confines of Westeros, as Sophie Turner (Sansa), has been linked, though there has been no official confirmation, to X-Men: Apocalypse. The role is that of young Jean Grey, a role that Sophie definitely seems fit to play.

As for now, as mentioned, there is no official confirmation on Sophie’s involvement in X-Men: Apocalypse, although it would seem that her primary competition is that of Hanna star, Saoirse Ronan.
