A GIF breakdown of the Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life trailer
HBO has announced that the Game of Thrones: A Day in the Life special will air on February 8, and now we have a trailer to go along with that announcement. There were some fairly exciting scenes in that brief yet tantalizing teaser, and I have sifted through it all to come up with a few of the more interesting GIFs which focus on some of Season 5’s story-lines.
As our very own Ani Bundel pointed out in her piece on the trailer, some of the shots feature Dany, Cersei, the Sandsnakes, and even Messandei with Dany in Mereen. With that in mind, there were also some very interesting takes of some locations that include Daznak’s Pit and Jon Snow fighting Wildlings at what may be Eastwatch-by-the-Sea.
We open with Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) being prepped for a scene that appears to be associated with Daznak’s Pit.

The next scene is simply Cersei walking. Is this a shot of the Queen Regent walking in the funeral procession? The look on her face is definitely not one of joy…of course this is Cersei we’re talking about.

This next scene of the Sandsnakes either training or actually fighting, is very exciting. As you can see, the spinning spear move is something that is very reminiscent of Prince Oberyn in Season 4. Like father, like daughter?

Here we have a couple of shots of Daznak’s Pit. For the sake of the Unsullied, I won’t go into great detail here, but suffice to say, I’m hoping this is going to be an EXTREMELY exciting scene that may very well be one the most talked about in the season.
Going from fiery sands of Daznak’s Pit, to the icy reaches of the north, is this a shot of Hardhome?
Possible Hardhome Game of Thrones S5Keeping it in the North, beyond the Wall. our next GIF reveals Jon Snow to be battling more Wildling in what appears to be some sort of fort. Is this another possible diversion from the books that has Jon Snow traveling to Eastwatch-by-the-Sea?
Update: This may not be Jon Snow, as our astute community member Dan Gehin points out. It may be a certain someone from House Greyjoy.
