Podcast: Critics on the Throne episode 2, Laura Hudson
“Game of Thrones is not a show that shies away from showing you that characters are rrrreeeaaaal dead.” – Laura Hudson
Welcome to the second episode of Critics on the Throne, this time starring freelance writer Laura Hudson (Twitter: @laura_hudson). Hudson has written about Game of Thrones primarily for Wired, and is also a member of the Council of Editors for the Game of Thrones Compendium.
In this episode, we talk about how Laura was picked for the Compendium; comparisons between the adaptations of GOT and The Walking Dead; the strengths of the Telltale adventure game and how it “got” us once again; whether Cersei’s playing the same game as Varys and Littlefinger; the advantages and disadvantages of short-term thinking; and who we want to see winning the Game of Thrones.
Check it out below!
Rough table of contents:

Note that we did have a technical issue where Laura’s audio occasionally hiccups. Most of the time you should still be able to get the gist of what’s being said, but our apologies if it causes any annoyances.
This show was also recorded before the trailer and the second episode of Telltale’s game were released.
Enjoy!
