Season 5 Casting: Ian Gelder reprises his role as Kevan Lannister

Just yesterday we brought you news of Zahary Baharov being cast as the Thenn leader, Loboda. Well, today we have some more casting news for you, and it involves the brother of the late Lord Tywin Lannister. According to fan site Watchers on the Wall, who claim the news from a source, Ian Gelder will be reprising his role as Kevan Lannister in Game of Thrones Season 5.

According to the source over at WotW, Ian Gelder will once again portray Kevan Lannister, at the very least in episode 10.

“Now, for a particularly exciting bit of news: a trusted source reports that in the fall, during filming, Ian Gelder was in the Belfast studios, and that at the very least, he’s in episode 10. The return of Kevan Lannister has been speculated on for months, with another source stating they thought they’d seen someone looking very much like Gelder in Dubrovnik, during the filming of a pivotal scene.”

The scene in question could be Cersei’s big walk, and if they are saving that particular scene for episode 10, then the conversation at the water-cooler, the next day, is going to be quite interesting. We also covered what the speculated episode titles will be for Season 5, and if Kevan Lannister is in episode 10, then “Daggers in the Dark”, makes all the more sense…but then again, that’s just speculation, and in no way official.
