Life Imitates Art: Gwendoline Christie Wows Paris Runway In Men’s Clothes
The fans always said that Gwendoline Christie was really too pretty to play the large and slightly oafish Brienne of Tarth. But they didn’t know just how right they were. This weekend in Paris Christie wowed the crowd in the Vivienne Westwood show. Christie herself is a fashionista, and makes no bones about it, appearing in fashion spreads, dating Fashion Designer Giles Deacon, and sporting his creations on red carpets. (However ill advised sometimes.) But the 6’3″ actress, who is considered “plus sized” in the Size -0 fashion industry on the runway?
Life imitates art, as Vivienne Westwood tapped the actress as part of her statement collection on the fluidity of the unisex look, as men walked in corsets and skirts, while women, including Christie, donned the armor of the business world and wowed in suits.

Though she didn’t headbutt anyone off a cliff, or bite an ear off, Christie was just as tough as any designer would like, stomping down the catwalk to the strains of the live punk band Die Hartjungs. Perhaps they were making sure she felt at home by providing the heavy metal?
You have to admit though, the metal suit Jaime gave her was slightly prettier than her second look. Those boots are bad ass though, as well as the leggings. Perhaps she can consider this as a second career since she’s discovering her desire on Game of Thrones to be a knight is not working out as she’d hoped…
