Game of Jones: Jonesy from The Sex Pistols Recaps Game of Thrones Season 3

The Sex Pistols’ Steve “Jonesy” Jones is back for the third installment of his musical Game of Thrones recap show, Game of Jones. For this particular video, Jonesy recaps Season 3, which hits such fun points as the Red Wedding and Jaime losing his hand. While episode 3 of Game of Jones was entertaining, I do not think it lives up to the 1st and 2nd installments. But, you decide.

“Jonesy has a lot of ground to cover. Spanning the events of the Red Wedding, Theon’s capture, and many other grave shenanigans, this video almost exclusively spoiler-ridden. But for shame if you have not caught up yet–Jonesy would have a few choice words for you, I am sure.”

While Jaime’s severed hand acting as the bouncing ball for this video was amusing, I felt that the down-right hilarity of the first two entries was missing. However, there is at least one funny highlight to discuss.

First off, let’s just admit that Jonesy doesn’t pronounce Gendry or Daenerys correctly. It’s a shame, but he does hit the funny bone with this line:

“She saves the slaves who praise her righteously, and it’s a little bit uncomfortable racially.”

Despite this not being my favorite video in the series, Nerdist is really on to something with Game of Jones. The Season 5 premiere is just 4 days away, and Jonesy still has one more recap to go. I’m hoping he really brings the funny for that one.
