Take the Black Podcast-Episode 502-The House of Black and White

This week on Take the Black, Isis, Luke, and I discuss Game of Thrones Season 5, Episode 2 “The House of Black and White,” and while Isis and I want to talk about the current state of affairs in Westeros/Essos, Luke is still mourning the loss of The Hound. Surprisingly, the lack of nudity has Isis reeling…because, you know, Daario’s butt. Luke expounds on his hatred of Brienne…because, you know, The Hound, and I give Pod props for his mad skills with the ladies.

As always, Take the Black is an Unsullied-friendly podcast. Luke and Isis have not read the books, as is evidenced by their tin-foil theories (don’t laugh, they’re really trying). Even though I have read A Song of Ice and Fire several times, I refuse to spoil anything, despite being sorely tempted by my two Unsullied co-hosts.

This week’s topics include: Arya at the House of Black and White, Brienne’s super power (which seems to be NOT helping Stark women), as well as her badass fight scenes, Sam’s hubris, Jon being elected the 998th Lord Commander of The Night’s Watch, and the real reason why Drogon flew away from Dany. We also theorize that Game of Thrones is turning into a buddy-sitcom, with Bronn and Jaime, Brienne and Pod, Tyrion and Varys, and of course Little Finger and Sansa…yes, we’re being serious.
