Game of Thrones Episode 503 Preview—”High Sparrow”

“High Sparrow,” the third episode of Game of Thrones‘ fifth season, airs tonight. Here’s HBO’s official synopsis: “In Braavos, Arya sees the Many-Faced God. In King’s Landing, Queen Margaery enjoys her new husband. Tyrion and Varys walk the Long Bridge of Volantis.”

From Braavos to King’s Landing to Volantis, it looks like tonight’s episode will cover a lot of ground. Margaery’s new husband can only be Tommen, who she’ll marry in Joffrey’s place. Cersei must be so pleased.

Although they’re not mentioned in the synopsis, the trailer for “High Sparrow” indicates that it will visit yet more locales, including the Wall and wherever it is that Littlefinger and Sansa are heading.

Of everything on the horizon, I’m most looking forward to Sansa’s journey. She’s off the map drawn by the books, so everything she does is a surprise to me. In the trailer, Littlefinger advises she avenge her decimated family. I’m on board for that. Also, the Boltons, plus Reek, make their first appearance this year. Let us welcome them back with boos and hisses.
