Nikolaj Coster-Waldau goes on Conan, talks about dropping fake spoilers

As the season continues, so do the late night interview appearances. Last night it was Nikolaj Coster-Waldau’s turn, as he turned up on the TBS late night show Conan. We’ve got a clip from his interview, where he discusses, among other things, fan knowledge of the books, making up fake spoilers to screw with people about the show, and of course, the infamous duck pictures from the HBO Nordic tour he did to promote Game of Thrones: The Experience prior to Season 5 starting.

So it ends up that Coster-Waldau was, indeed, just playing with a stuffed duck for kicks, and not giving us a secret insight into the appearance of a character from the books. (In case you missed it, we covered “duck gate” here. The North Remembers…the duck.) Since the show is running out of material from the novels to adapt, these teasing spoilers seem a little mean. Although I suppose that, once the producers do completely run out of material to adapt, we’ll all be like Jon Snow and know….nothing. Not even about the duck.

But I did not need to know that about the dragons.

FYI, there is a second clip from the Conan interview, but it’s not Game of Thrones related. Instead, it sounds like a story that belongs in one of Sam’s ponderous history books about Lord Orbert.

Spoiler Alert!
