Winterfell Located—Turns Out It’s In Massachusetts
Suddenly, all that snow Boston got these last few months has an explanation. When you’re located only about an hour north of Winterfell, you’re going to be on the front lines for the snows, as they spread south of the Wall.
Confused? Don’t be. Although Boston seems a little modern for Westeros, in our universe it’s only an hour’s ride from Winterfell. Winterfell, Mass, that is. According to NECN (New England Cable News), Winterfell just arrived in Massachusetts recently, and, unlike the great hulking castle with depressing stone walls, broken towers with high windows, and creepy Boltons littering up the place, here in the US, Winterfell is a nice subdivision in Seekonk. Check out the video.
The houses are for sale too! But for those who might think they could live the cosplay lifestyle, it sounds like the home owner’s association will not be OK with that. The broker insists that the 11-lot area will not have a medieval theme.
“[I]t’s 2015,” Jodi Hedrick, broker of Keystone Property Group, told WJAR-TV. “There’s going to be nice colonial, indoor plumbing, central air – all the amenities.”
Apparently, the engineers who helped design the subdivision are big “Game of Thrones” fans.
Already, one lot has sold. The lots start at $145,000, and home packages are $425,000 and up. Homes are expected to be ready in about six months.
Oh good. Just in time for Winter.
