Game of Thrones Episode 506—Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken—Preview

It’s Dorne-fest on Game of Thrones as the show zeroes in on the land located as far south as south goes. Check out HBO’s official synopsis for “Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken”: “Arya (Maisie Williams) trains. Jorah (Iain Glen) and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) run into slavers. Trystane (Toby Sebastian) and Myrcella (Nell Tiger Free) make plans. Jaime and Bronn reach their destination. The Sand Snakes attack.”

The last three of those five sentences are devoted to the goings-on in Dorne. Also, let’s not forget that the episode title is taken from the House words of the Martell family. Dorne and those who live there have been met with mixed reactions so far, so let’s hope that the added focus helps convince everyone that they’re worth having around.

The trailer does indeed include plenty of Dornish footage, but also gives us hints of what’s going down in Braavos and King’s Landing.

I think I’m most intrigued by the presence of Littlefinger in the capital, something that didn’t happen in the books. There’s no situation so bad that Littlefinger can’t make it a few hundred times worse. How will his own schemes dovetail with Cersei’s ongoing feud with the Tyrells and the rising power of the Sparrows?
