Season 5: “Hardhome” Trailer

With the end of every episode comes the “Next Time” trailer. With only three episodes left to go this season, and a battle scene the producers have said required five weeks and extra budget to shoot, one might think that the episode named for that battle, “Hardhome” would be a single setting episode in the vein of Season 2’s The Battle of Blackwater or last year’s Battle for Castle Black.

But apparently this is not so. Perhaps it will be a “back half of the episode” single scene like Joffrey’s wedding in “The Lion and the Rose?” We’ll have to wait until Sunday to see. Until then, here’s the breakdown of clips in the latest trailer.

• For those waiting for the first big scene between Dany and Jorah, here is a taste of it without giving anything away.
• And just from the arrangement of shots, it looks like Tyrion’s prediction that she keep him and kill Jorah may be the correct one.
• Did Sansa really just say she would have tortured Theon the same way Ramsay did in Season 3? Didn’t that girl just SEE what Ramsay is capable of?
• Oh Cersei, you’ll kneel and beg. It’s just a matter of time.
• Will Sam finally explain what Jon wouldn’t to Olly and the others: that we can have the giants fighting the White Walkers for us, or we can have to fight White Walker giants? (Why on earth has no one seen fit to break it down so simply like that to the cranky folk at Castle Black?)
• As for Hardhome, it doesn’t look like like Jon’s negotiations are going all that well…Hopefully a battle will break out and solve everything. We have a feeling White Walkers will be involved.
