Take the Black Podcast – Episode 507 – The Gift

This week on Take the Black, Isis, Luke, and I welcome a special guest: WiCnet’s own Editor in Chief, Dan Selcke. During the podcast, we break down Game of Thrones Episode 507, “The Gift,” which we all pretty much agree was a vast improvement on Episode 6. Topics include Ser Jorah staying firmly in the friendzone despite pummeling everyone in the arena for his “Khaleesi,” Gilly deflowering Sam, why Jon didn’t take Ghost to Hardhome (Dan thinks it’s because direwolves get seasick), and the proper name for the weapon that Sansa picked up while walking with Ramsay on the walls of Winterfell…apparently it’s a barrel auger.

Our discussion also include thoughts on Sansa’s attempts to take her life back by getting into the head of her tormentor, Ramsay Bolton. Also, how did the internet not implode when Tyrion and Dany met on screen for the first time?

As always, Take the Black is an Unsullied-friendly podcast. Luke and Isis have not read the books, as is evidenced by their adorable theories about what’s going to happen. Even though Dan and I have read A Song of Ice and Fire, we refuse to spoil anything. We do compare some situations in the show to the books, but don’t give anything away. And, on a side note, I will say that it was nice to have a fellow book reader join me, because Luke and Isis are so mean, and oft times gang-up on me.
