HBO releases six photos from “Hardhome”
HBO is letting it all hang out today. The network already revealed the official titles and synopses for the final two episodes of Game of Thrones‘ fifth season, and now it’s released a handful of new images from this Sunday’s coming episode, “Hardhome.”
Five of the six new images depict the goings-on up north, which suggests this’ll be a seriously snowy episode. Let’s take a look.

Photographer: Helen Sloan/HBOAt the Wall, Dolorous Edd looks dour (I’m assuming this is at the Wall, unless Edd joined Jon on the journey to Hardhome and I missed it). This may be the first official shot of Edd HBO has ever released, which could mean that he’ll have a big role to play this week. Or that he’ll die. Or it’s a coincidence. I dunno—the picture is very gray.

Also, Dolorous Edd is sitting two people behind him, so I guess that answers my question as to his whereabouts.

Tormund Giantsbane makes crazy eyes at the remainder of his people as they mull over the decision to either travel with Jon down south or stay at Hardhome to die. The wildlings in this area seem to be sporting a lot of white woolen gear, the better to blend in with the fallen snow and catch passing Night’s Watchmen unawares.

It had been previously speculated that Sorenson might be playing an important wildling character from the books, like Dalla or Mother Mole. But no, she’s Karsi, and I’m sure we’ll grow to love her in time.

Oh dear god, it’s a picture with a color palette that’s not predominantly gray—I’m sorry if this blinded anyone. In this pic, Tyrion stands in Daenerys’ throne room, presumably awaiting her judgment. We’re officially off the map here, so I’m excited to see what the Mother of Dragons makes of the Mouth of the South (TM Ani Bundel) come Sunday.
