Game of Thrones Episode 508—Hardhome—Preview
In “Hardhome,” Cersei and Sansa struggle with confinement, Daenerys and Tyrion become properly acquainted, and Jon tries to pick up a couple thousand wildling hitchhikers. Or, as HBO puts it: “Arya makes progress in her training. Sansa confronts an old friend. Cersei (Lena Headey) struggles. Jon travels.”
These HBO synopses are always so oddly written. “Jon travels.” Who does HBO think it’s fooling? We all know there’s going to be some kind of conflict at Hardhome in “Hardhome,” so why not write “Jon fights” or “Jon does battle?” Then again, maybe people who don’t spend all their time thinking about these things won’t be bothered.
In any case, the network doesn’t really tip its hand in the teaser.
It’s still exciting for me to see Daenerys and Tyrion in the same frame together. Who wants to bet that this episode is where Dany will give her “Break the Wheel” speech from the Season 5 trailer? Also, the dynamic between Sansa and Theon continues to get murkier. They may have maneuvered Sansa into the role of Jeyne Poole this season, but her attitude about her situation is quite different.
