Winter is Coming Live—The Dance of Dragons
Last night on Game of Thrones, Stannis crossed the Rubicon, Jon returned to a chilly reception at the Wall, and Daenerys finally took to the skies. It was an eventful night, and friendly neighborhood Game of Thrones nerds Adam Rady, Alison Haislip, and Xavier Brinkman are on hand to break it down, hash it out, and get to the bottom of what it all meant. It’s time to take a close look at “The Dance of Dragons” on WiC Live!
A lot happened last night, so we’ve segmented some of the highlights to be consumed at your convenience. The team does a lot of forecasting when it comes to Arya and the building tension between fulfilling her Faceless Men mission and crossing another name off her list.
Next up is a question from one of y’all: was Hizdahr zo Loraq in charge of the Sons of the Harpy? It’s a popular theory among book fans, but it kind of imploded last night after one of the Sons, y’know, stabbed him to death. Apparently to death, anyway. This one’s a puzzler.
What’s going to go down at the Wall and Winterfell in the finale? The gang gets speculative.
Continuing the rash of speculation, the WiC Live team forecasts what’s in store in Braavos and Meereen. We’ll know whether their predictions come true soon enough.
Finally, the team wonders what’s going to happen in King’s Landing, which sat this week out. Also, it appears that the show has been unsuccessful at delineating who exactly the Sand Snakes are. Oh, well—better luck in Dorne next year.
Thanks to the WiC Live team for talking through the episode, to Entertainment Weekly for sponsoring the show, and to everybody watching and submitting their questions and comments. Keep those coming so we can answer them on our finale!
