This finale has an awful lot to get through. If the trailer is any indication, it looks like Cersei is making a move to get herself released from prison. Book-readers can probably guess how intense that’s going to get. Jon’s back at the Wall, but faces an uphill battle convincing the Night’s Watchmen to accept their new wildling neighbors. Elsewhere, Arya’s working through her vendetta against Meryn Trant, Stannis is facing down the Boltons, Sansa’s trying to escape Winterfell, Dany has flown off who-knows-where, and if Jessica Henwick can be believed, the Sand Snakes will show up at some point. It’s all too much!
Also, you know that Brienne has to do something—the producers haven’t let her languish outside Winterfell for the second half of the season just to sit out the finale.
Whatever happens, it’s definitely been an interesting season, perhaps made even more so by all the controversy that’s cropped up along the way.
