12. Cersei’s Mourning Look
We see Cersei wear this gown more than once this season. Unlike the gown she wore after Margaery’s wedding, this one is looser, in the southron style we see her wearing whenever she’s relaxed or vulnerable, as in the scene pictured above, when she’s talking about Myrcella. (The other time we see her wearing this gown is with Tommen, when she tells him she’ll do anything to keep him safe.) The lion heads are embossed and beaded on the shoulders, but there’s no armor or stiffener around the middle. The gown is casually tied with golden ribbons, and though there is still a whole lot of black on black with gold interiors, one can clearly see in this image the swirling vines of things growing, despite grief’s chill.
