Daenerys Targaryen is not impressed in this amusing fan video
You know that look Daenerys gets when she’s just so not into whatever’s happening right in front of her? It’s this thing Emilia Clarke does that’s, like, two parts fierce eyebrows, two parts perpetual eye-roll (they’re always halfway into the back of her head because there’s just nothing interesting going on in front of her), and one part mouth-twitch? No? What about that spectacular stink-eye Emilia Clarke gives when someone’s being dishonest to the Mother of Dragons?
It’s no secret that Daenerys attracts disappointment wherever she goes in Essos. Now you, too, can live a day in the Khaleesi’s shoes with this fan video. (Hat-tip to the Nerdist!)
Youtube user G. Scott McG threw together this nifty video—which cuts together all the times Daenerys Targaryen, First of Her Name, The Unburnt, etc. was entirely unimpressed and/or let down by the people in her life—to the tune of Shania Twain’s “That Don’t Impress Me Much.” So, in case you were wondering if there were enough of such moments to make a Youtube-length video, wonder no more! Bonus: there are two actors playing Daario Neharis in this video. Both of them receive spectacular looks of disapproval from Emilia Clarke. Ser Jorah is also a popular target of The Eyes because Daenerys will never love him the way he loves her. (And that’s terrible.) Topping things off are Dany’s own brother (a sad sack of a villain if ever there was one) and that guy who tried to sell her Unsullied while speaking High Valyrian thinking she didn’t speak it. (Valyrian, mother****er, she does speak it.)
Notably absent from this video are the dragons, because dragons never, ever let you down.
