HBO Wants You To Own The (Iron) Throne

Apparently HBO is like those lords and ladies in King’s Landing, or Winterfell, or Meereen. In other words, the network hasn’t heard about the Massacre at Hardhome, the ones that rendered the fight for the Iron Throne just a little on the moot side of things. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be insisting that everyone is trying to Own the Throne in this new spot for the Game of Thrones DVDs for Seasons 1-4.

But then again, I suppose with Jon Snow dead and gone, there’s no one left to really warn the Seven Kingdoms, or the average suburbanite. And if one was trying to capture the Iron Throne in the near suburbs, one would end up having the guy at Home Depot strap it to the roof of your reasonably priced car and hope for the best. If this wasn’t an argument for getting a full-sized SUV, I’m not sure what is. Or of course, one could just move to the Red Keep like a sensible person. I hear Air Targaryen is planning to start a one-way flight service from Essos to King’s Landing in the near future.

Meanwhile, I already have all four seasons sitting at home on my BluRay shelf. What’s your excuse?
